Year in Review 2010

Last blog of this year 2010, many things to be thankful for in 2010, first and foremost, I do believe in God and love celebrating Christmas which to me is a celebration of the birth of Jesus Christ, born to his mother Mary and his father Joseph a carpenter in the town of Bethlehem in Jerusalem. He was raised under God's leadership as they were preparing him for his big role of Christ, but first he had to be persecuted and died on the cross for his beliefs. I have never wrote about this in many years, but because this is my blog and only one follower, doesn't matter, makes me feel good to talk about my beliefs. These are the things we were taught as children and these are the things I teach my Grandson now.

Many other things to be thankful for in 2010.........we have our health and without your health you have nothing!
I am thankful for my sons, for without then, I would not have all these wonderful things to say about people.
I am thankful for my friendships with many people in my life, for they make the road much shorter to travel.
I am thankful for my grandchildren, they bring out the best in us grandparents, doing things we never would do if they were not around. I once rode down a huge hill on a 4 year old kids bicycle and almost killed myself when trying to show my grandson how easy it was....funny now, but you should have seen the look on his face!

Linspan Shelties had a very successful year in 2010, we had a first, a BPIS win with a young male at the tender of six months old. BPIS Ch. Linspans Melodaly Gambler, he took 9 points his first weekend out in Quebec, finishing his Championship in 3 shows, we were thrilled for his owners Dany Therrien of Melodaly Shelties.

We are looking forward to all the firsts in 2011 and wish everyone a very happy New Year and a special mention to a very special woman, who is very dedicated and works so hard on all our stuff for the web, PennyLynn of Ruffleith Shelties.

Christmas with Jesus Christ this Year - For Dad.

I see the countless Christmas trees - around the world below.
With tiny lights, like heavens stars - reflecting on the snow.

The sight is so spectacular, please wipe away that tear.
For I am spending Christmas with Jesus Christ this year.

I hear the many Christmas songs, that people hold so dear.
But the sounds of music can't compare, with the Christmas choir up here.

For I have no words to tell you, the joy their voices bring
It is far beyond description to hear the angels sing.

I can't tell you of the splendor, or the peace here in this place
Can you just imagine Christmas with our saviour, face to face

I'll ask him to light your spirit, as I tell him of your love
So then pray for one another, as I lift your eyes above.

Please let your hearts be joyful, and let your spirit sing,
For I am spending Christmas in Heaven, and I am walking with the King.

Funny Day

No pictures this time I promise.........its been a real hilarious day, with me blogging again, you tend to forget the stuff you learned a while back, they say, if you don't use it - you loose it, and I have lost it.............I will have to take a course to get all this stuff right..............first I post a picture of my BPIS winning dog sideways, and then I post a picture of my beautiful plant in a postage stamp size.............so I am the breeder of sideway dogs and my gardening skills are very teeny weeny plants..............help someone please! Stay posted.........for my next entry on the Blog! Calgon take me away! As I don't have any followers on my blog anyways, it is only a place for me to vent and try out my good humour and antics.

Money Tree Pic's

So this is the picture of the money tree that I had blogged about a week ago, I know the image is small but at least you can see it now. Having the dardest time sizing my photos, either they are too small or too big, so this will have to do for now...............I know don't give up my day job......I shall never make it as a photographer!

BPIS Pic - Up Close and Personal

Here is a right side up shot of "Gambler" at only 6 months old, and first time in the ring, he has started with a bang!, so lots of good things to come for this young Sheltie boy in the future.........this is my second blog to day, so I am happy about that. I had lots of problems with my pc and my camera which were all related.

BPIS Picture of Gambler

We just received this picture yesterday from proud owner Dany Therrien of Melodaly Shelties in Quebec.

Money Tree

I have not been on the blogger for a while, and this one is not about a dog, its about a plant, a braided Money Tree. It is thought by the Chinese that it bestows good luck to its owners. This plant/tree I purchased for my son for his Birthday one year ago, and it was doing OK at his place, until the cat started swiping at it and they all loved this plant so much everyone started watering it, so it was in real bad shape and my son Tim asked me to take it home and put my green thumb to work, when we carried the pot to my car it was really heavy and was so full of water, from the kindness of all. At my house in front of my kitchen window, after a couple of weeks of drying out, it started dropping all the leaves and looked really dead, I was going to pitch it out in the garbage, but I decided to cut it all off and see if it would grow again, I waited for weeks and in the hot weather we recently had, it started to grow again, it was literally growing new leafs every day. Once I remember how to re-size my images I will post the picture of this beautiful tree. more to come.

Memorial To Dad

This is a memorial to my dad, who passed away 5 years ago. January 1th is his Birthday. Dad is missed by all his 9 children and his many grandchildren, and great grandchildren, but he left a legacy behind for all of us, his sense of humour, he always told us, to keep your chin up and smile. He always had a joke to tell everyone, he touched so many lives with his sense of humour. We know how proud he would have been of all his children. This is a poem our family keeps close at heart when thinking about our Dad.

Miss Me But Let Me Go

When I come to the end of the road and the sun has set for me, I hope that you will realize my pain at last is free.

Miss me a little - but not for too long, and not with your head bowed low. Remember the love we once shared Miss me - But let me go.

For this is a journey that we all must take, and each must go alone. Its all a part of a master plan, a step on the road to home.

When you are lonely and sick at heart, go to the friends we know, and bury your sorrows in doing good deeds, Miss Me But Let Me Go.

Fun with Ayden and the Puppies.

We had a very busy Christmas and Ayden and I were trying to decide which pictures we would put on our Blog of the puppies who are now 7 weeks old. Santa was good to us and gave us a new camera, so here are a couple of the first pic's we took of the puppies with the new camera, nothing professional, but I know as time goes by we will get better.

Hey did Mom just go by................

Yes I think she went that way...........
